Adeline Sulentich

Adeline is a dedicated family law attorney and child expert in the State of Colorado. Adeline counsels her clients on numerous aspects of divorce and child-related proceedings, including pre- and post- decree parenting time, child support, property division, spousal support, financial issues related to divorce like dissipation claims, separate property claims, and high net-worth divorces, grandparents’ rights, and adoption matters. Adeline is deeply passionate about her work as a child expert and uses her unique experience to guide her in putting children first.

"Adeline is the perfect combination of compassion, fierceness, and brilliance."
~ Amberly Materi
" Adeline is a force; she's assertive and commanding without being contentious in court."
~ Jessie
"Adeline did an exceptional job of weeding through the challenges while always being supportive."
~ Paula Fox
"I highly recommend Adeline! There is no one else I would have wanted next to me in court."
~ Andrea

Throughout her legal career, Adeline has worked on many cases involving the representation of children as an attorney and as a child expert. Adeline is appointed across the state as a Child and Family Investigator (CFI) and Parenting Coordinator and Decision-Maker (PCDM). Advocating for children is one of Adeline’s core values as a litigator and a child expert.

While Adeline appreciates the need for litigation in some matters, she realizes that families benefit greatly from settlement and promotes alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediation. When Adeline is not mediating with clients, she acts as a mediator helping people settle their disputes outside of the courtroom.

Adeline helps her clients focus on the big picture and customizes her approach to every client’s individual needs, as there is no “one size fits all” in family law. In addition to advocating inside and outside of the court room, Adeline also prides herself on helping her clients through their emotional grieving process that comes with litigation in the context of family law.

Adeline’s legal acumen was recognized by the John Marshall School of Law (University of Illinois-Chicago), where she graduated cum laude with certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Trial Advocacy.

During law school, Adeline gained invaluable family law experience as a judicial extern with the Honorable Regina Scannicchio in the Cook County Domestic Relations Division. Adeline’s experience working directly with a domestic relations judge provided her unique insight into how to prepare for and present a family law case. She later became a law clerk at one of Chicago’s premiere family law firms, serving clients in complex divorce and family law matters.

Adeline is a Colorado native, graduating from Colorado State University. Adeline’s passion for family law and child welfare began even prior to law school, when she worked with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) at the Harmony House, supervising court-ordered visits between children and non-custodial adults in their lives. Working at Harmony House provided Adeline with a unique skill set that she has incorporated into her family law practice.

Adeline’s work is also deeply influenced by her own experience as a child of divorce and a survivor of child abuse; her compassion and insight in this regard is highly valuable to her clients.
