Erin A. Penrod

Erin represents clients in all family law matters, including complex-asset divorce and high-conflict parenting disputes, devoting most of her practice to cases that involve domestic violence, child abuse, drug & alcohol abuse, and mental health issues. She approaches each case with an eye toward a resolution to mitigate the emotional toll the dissolution process puts on clients and their families.

Erin also routinely handles significant post-decree trial work. Her ability to synthesize information, think analytically and find creative solutions to complex legal problems have provided her with the expertise necessary to succeed in both the courtroom and in settlement negotiations.

“ Erin is highly efficient, incredibly knowledgeable about the law, thinks outside the box, and a real barracuda when it's necessary. ”
~ A
“ Erin was amazing. She was very caring, approachable and kind. I felt like she had my best interest in mind the entire time."
- Rebecca
“ After a consultation, I hired her and within 2 days she was able to prepare my case and win it. ”
- Sydney

In 2014, Erin was inducted into the Order of the Coif honor society, top 10% of her class. She then received family law training as a student law clerk at Willoughby & Associates, was a judicial intern for the 18th District Court domestic docket, and served as Assistant Managing Editor for the Denver Law Review.

During law school, Erin earned DU’s Hartje Objective Writing Award for exceptional writing and research and also qualified for quarterfinalist status in DU’s Hoffman Cup Trial Advocacy Competition.
