Emily Warren is recognized for her exceptional ability to handle complex cases with strategic insight and professionalism. With 20 years as a prosecutor in her background, she transcends common misconceptions; every aspect of her work in family law is driven by care, compassion, and a commitment to justice. Lawyers and judges describe her as “always taking the high ground” and “electrifying” in and out of the courtroom.
Emily’s extensive experience as a prosecutor, notably in cases involving the death of the victim, serious injuries inflicted on the victim, use of firearms and other weapons, sexual assault, and serious abuse of children, gives her a deep understanding of the emotional challenges in legal conflicts, enhancing her ability to manage sensitive situations with care and tact.
In addition to being one of the most experienced trial lawyers in Colorado, Emily is trained in the collaborative divorce process. She takes a strategic approach to both mediation and courtroom litigation, which gives her a unique ability to create opportunities for positive outcomes for her clients.
Emily’s practice focuses on both the resolution of complex legal disputes in the most productive and positive way possible, and effectively asserting her clients’ interests in court whenever necessary.
In 1994 Emily received her law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, at the University of California, Berkeley. For a year she worked as a law clerk for an appellate judge, then spent nearly two decades at the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, rising to the position of Chief Deputy. In early 2015, she transitioned to family law, applying her significant legal experience to a new focus area.
